Minepit 2026 Update.

“The Pool of Jewels”

This was my first lake, at just over an acre and with depths ranging from 2ft- 12ft, 2 islands, lillies, reed beds and overhanging trees, this is the ultimate in close quarter carping. the carp are some of the trickiest around with some fish not seeing the bank in over 5 years !

This lake has seen some major work in 2019, The stock is currently 28 Carp, However this year I will reduce down to around 25 carp. The goal is a lake with Large hidden gems swimming in its depths. A quiet and intimate water. This pool has produced over 9 different 30s in 2026

Steve’s Lake (Was Fallow) Update 2026”The Lake of Kings and Queens”.

The latest and largest addition to the complex, Steve's Lake spans just over 5 acres and was purpose-built with the serious carp angler in mind. Designed from the outset as a big-fish water, the lake features depths ranging from 2ft to over 20ft, creating a variety of features and habitats for both carp and anglers alike.

Originally stocked with around 60 hand-picked carp, the lake has continued to thrive through careful management, regular feeding, and a long-term approach to fish welfare and growth. Since opening to members in 2019, Steve's Lake has exceeded expectations, producing exceptional growth rates and some truly special fish.

The current lake record stands at an impressive 55.6 lb for the famous Big Common, with several other fish now comfortably over the 40lb including another incredible two common at 47lb and many more showing enormous potential for the future. With a relatively low stock density and a carefully selected population of quality carp, the lake continues to establish itself as one of the most exciting big-fish venues in the region.

With ongoing investment, habitat improvements, and a stock of carp that continue to grow year on year, Steve's Lake is firmly establishing itself as one of the jewels in the crown of The Exclusive Carp Syndicate.

We pride ourselves on fish welfare, and because of this all members are provided with fish care equipment on site, including Nash Cradles, Nash Kaptive Slings and Nash Landing Nets. No other fish care equipment is permitted on the complex, helping to minimise the risk of introducing KHV or other harmful diseases into our lakes.

Our commitment to fish welfare extends far beyond the bank. All lakes are fitted with aeration systems to maintain optimum dissolved oxygen levels, particularly during periods of high water temperatures and fish activity. In addition, each lake is monitored 24 hours a day using remote water quality probes, providing real-time data on dissolved oxygen levels and allowing aeration systems to be managed proactively. This continuous monitoring ensures any potential issues are identified early, helping to keep our fish healthy, stress-free and thriving throughout the year, even during the hottest summer conditions. The lakes are full of features, with sunken islands, bars, lilly beds and reed beds, with depths ranging from 3ft – 21ft covering with around 10 acres of water across the 3 lakes.   The waters are full of natural food ensuring a healthy diet for the fish, without having to rely on the anglers baits.
